Jamie Skidmore

Jamie Skidmore is a professor in the English Department at Memorial University of Newfoundland, specializing in theatre arts, and film and video production.  Jamie has been working in theatre and video production for almost 30 years as a designer, director, technician, and educator.  He has designed across the country for RCA Theatre, Artistic Fraud of Newfoundland, She Said Yes!, Andy Jones, Theatre Conspiracy, and more.  In 2006, Jamie worked as the production manager and technical director for the Magnetic North Theatre Festival, the largest theatre festival in English in Canada.

In the 1980s, Jamie completed a Diploma in Radio and Television Broadcasting at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario.  He worked in the broadcasting industry as a professional video editor for a number of years, before moving into professional theatre. 

Recently, he has directed a number of music videos and short films.
